Synopsis
"Other days," Mildred says, "are chock full of busy work. Psychiatric therapy. Occupational therapy. Recreational therapy. On Sunday, there's nothing—nothing. Time and space and us. Deprivation therapy. Boredom therapy." But this full-evening one-act play proves to be anything but boring as Mildred and Anna, confined to the psychiatric ward of a general hospital, confront each other, an infuriatingly silent new roommate, the emptiness of an institutional Sunday, and the pain that has brought both of them here. A winner in national competition sponsored by the Playwrights' Center of San Francisco, the Little Theatre of Alexandria, the Actors' Guild of Lexington, and others., Sunday, Sunday has been cited for "excellently crafted characters" (Lexington Herald-Leader) and "highly charged scenes and dialogue." (The Sunday Oklahoman) This insightful new play is "...a psychological marathon for actors and audience alike. It's also good solid theater." (Ashland, Ore., Tidings)

- "Very challenging piece for an advanced high school cast, but they ate it up -- persisting to perform."
