Synopsis

Hightower University, an institution so prestigious that even the maintenance staffers hold Ph.D.s, is hosting its annual open house for second-semester high-school seniors. The open house involves several rotating sessions including "The Causes and Prevention of Senioritis." The university's advanced acting class under the direction of Professor Stan I. Slavski dramatizes several episodes of pitfalls (and sometimes pratfalls) facing the students in attendance as they finish high school. Though often humorous, a few of the episodes are serious, but all are thought-provoking. The setting is the actual auditorium—or performance space—in which the play is presented. The university's director of student life welcomes the audience members as they enter the auditorium from their "previous session." Old or young, student or nonstudent, viewers will be entertained and enlightened by this serio-comic glimpse into the world of the high-school senior.
