Some of the advantages to producing radio plays:
One Simple Set—A radio station—made up mostly of drapes, a control booth (if desired), mikes, and sound effects equipment.
Less Wardrobe—no changes of wardrobe are necessary.
Less Staging—actors simply stand at mikes most of the time.
Less Rehearsal—actors don't memorize lines—they just read them.
Fewer Cast Members—one actor plays many parts.
No Props—only scripts.

"Though we had to cut the show and only do act one for a competition, the first act is a wonderful adaptation of two of Poe's most famous short stories. One of our students came in second place for best actress for her portrayal of The Caretaker.
This play was great for teaching students how to do dramatic readings for an audience.
- Review by Felicia Brown, Trenton Central High School, Willingboro, N.J.
- "It is possible to do this as a radio play and stream it. My students had a lot of fun generating the sound effects manually, and a lot more appreciation for techs!"
- Review by Becky Bell, Deer Valley High School, Glendale, Ariz.
- "It was well written and easy to pull together quickly."
