William Glennon, (1923-2002) a native of Pennsylvania, received a bachelors degree from Duke University and went on to study theatre history at the University of Pittsburgh and art history at Bowdoin College. He had a long career in regional theatre and with stock companies, directing and acting in hundreds of plays. Eventually, he began to write his own. In Maine, he worked for several years on a special in-school program, exploring the use of theatre techniques in both learning and teaching throughout the state. For more than 25 years, he also was one of New Englands leading antique dealers, operating a seasonal business in Wiscasset, Maine.
