In addition to selling material to both network and cable television, Vin Morreale Jr. has won numerous awards for his screenwriting, playwriting, documentaries, independent movies and short fiction.

Morreale was awarded the prestigious Al Smith Individual Artist Fellowship in playwriting, and both his published and unpublished plays have received nearly 1,000 productions on stages across the U.S., Canada, Europe, New Zealand, Australia and Sri Lanka.

He has completed numerous feature screenplays, many of which have been optioned by various small production companies. He wrote, directed and produced the low-budget romantic comedy Breaking and Entering, which continues to hold the record for the largest screening premiere ever in the Southeast, with 2,619 ticketholders and an $18,550.00 box office for a single showing at The Louisville Palace theatre. His second independently produced feature, In Mysterious Ways, will be distributed by One Purpose Media Distribution in 2015.

Morreale has written, directed or produced documentaries and educational videos, including the acclaimed PGA of America's Complete History of Golf, the Kentucky Derby Collector's Showcase, Rand McNally's Central Florida, Altered Visions and the Louisville Ballet's Cinderella.

Morreale's book on theatre, Burning Up the Stage: Monologues, Short Scenes and Audition Pieces for Actors From Six to Seventy is distributed worldwide through Dramatic Publishing, which also carries a number of his published plays. He was a founding member of the San Francisco Playwrights' Center and the Senseless Bickering Comedy Theatre.?

Morreale's Burning Up the Stage Acting Workshops have been taught across the country, including: Boston; San Francisco; Los Angeles; Louisville, Ky.; Lexington, Ky.; Evansville, Ind; Cincinnati; and Nashville, Tenn.

Under his direction, VSM Entertainment & Casting has grown into Greater Kentucky's leading provider of casting and crew services for film, TV and stage, with talent that reaches into 11 states across the Southeast and Midwest. He has cast more than 20,000 actors across a variety of media.

In 2013, he opened the West Coast office of VSM Entertainment & Casting in Los Angeles.

Morreale has also staged plays at the following festivals and competitions: West Village Musical Theater Festival (N.Y.), Winston Salem Children's Theatre Fesival (N.C.), Bay Area Playwrights Festival (Calif.), Bunbury Theater 15th Anniversary Play Festival (Ky.), Bunbury Theater 10th Anniversary Play Festival (Ky.), Kentucky Contemporary Theater New Play Competition (Ky.), Coffee Cup Theater New Works Competition (Ky.), Pleades Festival on New Plays (Ky.), Hovey Player's National Play Competition (Mass.). Plus 14 published titles and nearly 1,000 stage and radio productions of original material across the U.S. and Canada.
