R.N. Sandberg's plays have been seen in Australia, Canada, England, Japan, Panama and South Korea as well at U.S. theaters such as Barter Theatre, Dallas Children's Theater, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Intiman Theatre, La Mama, Providence Black Rep, Stage One: Louisville's Children's Theatre, Stages Repertory Theatre and Yale Cabaret. He has been commissioned by, among others, McCarter Theatre, Metro Theater Company and, on three occasions, Seattle Children's Theatre. His current plays include IRL: in real life for George Street Playhouse, What Can't Be Seen, developed at the Provincetown Playhouse and The Judgment of Bett, part of the Kennedy Center's New Visions/New Voices in conjunction with the American Repertory Theatre and Discovering Justice. Other plays include Anne of Green Gables, Can't Believe It, Convivencia, Done, Frankenstein, In Between, Jarpteetza/The Firebird, A Little Princess, Martina: Lost and Found (originally Frankenstein's Children), The Moonstone, The Odyssey and Sara Crewe. Sandberg teaches playwriting, acting and dramatic literature at Princeton University.
