Hints, Tips, and Tricks
I used trigger locks on the shotguns (both were also broken-rusted). I also used a track starting pistol for the gunshots which could easily be a recorded sound.

This is a very balanced show in terms of size of parts. Everyone has an adequate amount of dialogue. No one dominates the dialogue. Very good for high school productions. Another plus, half the cast is female. The sound effects are easy.
