Stacey Lane’s plays have been performed at more than 900 theatres in every state in the continental U.S. as well as on six continents with productions in Canada, England, Scotland, Ireland, Norway, China, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Ukraine, Israel, Indonesia, Brazil, Venezuela and United Arab Emirates, among others. Her scripts are published with Dramatic Publishing, Playscripts Inc., Pioneer Drama Service, Eldridge Plays and Musicals, Smith and Kraus Publishers, Heuer Publishing, Brooklyn Publishers, YouthPLAYS, Applause Theatre & Cinema Books, Meriwether Publishing, Next Stage Press, Infinity Stage, JAC Publishing, Routledge, and Seraphemera Books. Lane has contributed to Thunderbolt Theatre & Film Productions Sterling Magazine, Poydras Review, The Quotable, Euphony Journal, Germ Magazine, Mock Turtle Zine, Indian Ink, The Other Otter, Furious Gazelle, monologuedb, Actor Point, Canyon Voices, Whoopee Magazine, Steel Bananas and Scene4. She also has plays published in Manhattan Theatre Source’s Book of EstroGenius series, San Luis Obispo Little Theatre’s 2008 SLOLT’s Short Play Collection and Freshwater Theatre’s A Festival of Awkward Moments: The Anthology. Lane is the recipient of the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation residency grant and the Montgomery County Arts and Cultural District’s Literary Artist Fellowship. Lane is the winner of AATE’s Unpublished Play Reading Project Award, two nominations at the National Youth Arts Awards for best new script, two nominations at the ariZoni Theatre Awards of Excellence for best original script, and a nomination at Midtown International Theatre Festival for outstanding playwriting. She has received script commissions from Classika Theatre, Women Playwrights Initiative, The Human Race Theatre Company’s Summer Stock KIDS, The Zoot Theatre Company, Town Hall Theatre, CityFolk and The Mascot Organization. Lane founded SWAN (Support Women Artists Now) Day Dayton. She graduated magna cum laude with a full scholarship from Rollins College.
