Stacey Lane’s plays have been performed at more than 800 theatres on six continents. She has contributed to Sterling Magazine, Poydras Review, The Quotable, Euphony Journal, Germ Magazine, Mock Turtle Zine, Indian Ink, The Other Otter, Furious Gazelle, monologuedb, Actor Point, Canyon Voices, Whoopee Magazine, Steel Bananas and Scene4. Lane also has plays published in Manhattan Theatre Source’s Book of EstroGenius series, San Luis Obispo Little Theatre’s 2008 SLOLT’s Short Play Collection and Freshwater Theatre’s A Festival of Awkward Moments: The Anthology. She is the recipient of the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation residency grant and the Montgomery County Arts and Cultural District’s Literary Artist Fellowship. Lane is the winner of AATE’s Unpublished Play Reading Project Award, the East Valley Children’s Theatre’s Aspiring Playwrights Contest, a Charlie Award, an honorable mention at the Beverly Hills Theatre Guild’s Marilyn Hall Awards for Youth Theatre, a nomination at the National Youth Arts Awards for best new script, a nomination at the ariZoni Theatre Awards of Excellence for best original script, a nomination at Midtown International Theatre Festival for outstanding playwriting and other honors. She has received script commissions from Classika Theatre, Women Playwrights Initiative, The Human Race Theatre Company’s Summer Stock KIDS, The Zoot Theatre Company, CityFolk and the Mascot Organization. Lane graduated magna cum laude with a full scholarship from Rollins College.
