Ronna Lynn Frank was born in Los Angeles and trained as a classical pianist from the age of three. She began writing, recording and performing music when she was twelve. After receiving her bachelor's degree from the University of California at Northridge, she taught elementary school and then moved to London, England, where she trained in sound engineering and music technology. While teaching music, music technology and choir at the American School in London, Frank wrote and directed many original musicals and musical adaptations. She has written six film scores and was a member of the Performing Rights Society while living in England. After 27 years in London, Frank moved back to Oregon to be with her family, while continuing to write music and enjoy the outdoor life. Frank has been a member of ASCAP since 2000 and has been awarded 15 ASCAP Plus Awards. The Just So Stories is Frank's second published musical with Joseph Robinette. She co-wrote the musical version of Stuart Little, also published by Dramatic Publishing.
