Nancy Gall-Clayton

Nancy Gall-Clayton has been a visiting artist at Ohio State University, a Tennessee Williams Scholar at Sewanee Writers' Conference and won the Streisand Festival of New Jewish Plays and the Eileen Heckart Senior Drama Competition. She was the featured playwright at Beyond the Borscht Belt: A Jewish Theatre Festival. She was a finalist for Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre ScriptFEST, Southeastern Theatre Conference's Charles M. Getchell New Play Award, the Kentucky Theatre Association's Roots of the Bluegrass New Play Award, and Actors Theatre of Louisville's Heideman Award. Her short plays have been on stages coast to coast as well as Canada and Australia. Her full-length Just Taking Up Space is included in World Premieres from Horse Cave Theatre (Motes Books). Gall-Clayton belongs to The Dramatists Guild and the International Centre for Women Playwrights.
