Synopsis
The Witch of November: A Story of the Edmund Fitzgerald explores the final voyage of the Edmund Fitzgerald, the Great Lakes freighter lost during a massive storm on Nov. 10, 1975. The play follows Captain Ernest McSorley, his crew and his wife, Nellie, blending their memories, struggles and relationships with the rising fury of Lake Superior. The story examines both the human cost of maritime life and the enduring mystery of the ship’s tragic sinking.
