I Have a Story: Plays From an Extraordinary Year
View Collection14-year-old Emily, housebound because of the pandemic, is forced to take her tap-dance class via Zoom—and the only room in the house that isn’t carpeted (and thus suitable for tapping) is the kitchen. It’s bad enough that her mother and obnoxious kid brother keep interrupting her, but she can’t master some of the steps, and she finally gives up in complete frustration. Mom offers some words of wisdom that save the day, and the play ends with a joyous group tap-dance number.
