Synopsis

Here are the exuberant escapades of Cornelia Otis Skinner and Emily Kimbrough, determined to prove how "cosmopolitan" they can be on an uproarious trip to Europe. The ship sails and the girls are on their own. They have an adventure with a stowaway, mistake the leader of the ship's band for an admiral and meet two very handsome medical students. Then the girls are off to Paris. Here they get involved with a gas meter that explodes, sleep in a bed that Cardinal Richelieu once used, and convince a great French actor that he should give them acting lessons.

Customer Reviews

"This was a fun, old-fashioned show with clean humor and non-stop wit! Requiring only two indoor scenes and few lighting effects, the technical aspect of this production was a breeze! This would be a great first or second show for smaller schools or new drama programs."
Review by Molly Ledford, Old Suwanee Christian School, Buford, Ga.
"We had a delightful time -- from rehearsals to performances! Even the minor characters provided the opportunity for the actors to make them as humorous and memorable as the lead roles."
