Synopsis

Adapted from native Pacific Northwest folklore by co-author of the celebrated, award-winning Nightingale and Fool of the World, this participation play is ideal for family audiences and children in grades K-3. When Clan Chief's son is spirited away by the moon in this mystical adventure incorporating masks and creative movement, it is lowly Orphan Boy who must save him. With help from the audience and the supernatural assistance of Sky Grandmother and Little Sky Sister, the boys escape Sky Country in a triumph of friendship and ingenuity. Director's notes include guidance for achieving effective audience participation.
