Wayne Harrel is a playwright, lyricist, screenwriter and business consultant from Portland, Oregon. His plays include Making Choices, Song of the Bow, Second Bloom, Says Me! and El Buenpastor. His musicals, created with various composers, include Look at Us Now, Bright and Wild, The Strayaways and The Good Shepherd. He has also written hundreds of scripts for business events across North America. His favorite gigs include writing and performing children's stories with the Oregon Symphony Orchestra, touring original works in Mexico and England and collaborating with Monty Python's John Cleese. His work has won numerous awards, including Best New Play from TADA Theatre of New York, Denver Ensemble Theatre and CITA, a Gold Medal from Corporate Events magazine and a Gold Hugo from the Chicago International Film Festival. He is a member of The Dramatists Guild, Nautilus New Music Theatre Workshop, Act One Writers Program and was once named IMAGE journal artist of the month.
