Tom Key has served as Producing Artistic Director since 1995 of downtown Atlanta's acclaimed Theatrical Outfit, a professional company giving dramatic voice to the spiritual themes of the American South. In addition to conceiving Cotton Patch Gospel as a one-man show, Key has performed nationally the musical which it inspired, earning two Dramalogue Awards for outstanding Achievement in Theater. He has also adapted for the stage Walker Percy's Lost in the Cosmos: The Last Self-Help Seminar, and The Moviegoer; John Bunyan's classic allegory, The Pilgrim's Progress; and Reader's Theater adaptations of C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia. His one-man play C.S. Lewis On Stage has been presented for over two decades, including productions at The John F. Kennedy Center, Harvard, Yale and Oxford Universities. An honors M.A. graduate from The University of Tennessee, Key served as Artist in Residence at Emory University from 1992-1997.
