Sonja Linden is an award-winning playwright whose plays have been produced on radio, on the London stage, and in regional theaters across the United Kingdom, as well as in the United States. Inspired by her work as writer-in-residence at the Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture, Linden founded iceandfire theatre company, whose first production in 2003 was the London premiere of her play I Have Before Me a Remarkable Document Given to Me by a Young Lady From Rwanda. The play premiered in the United States in 2005 and has since received a number of highly acclaimed productions across the United States and received nominations for best actress and best playwright in the 2007 NAACP awards. Linden is currently working on her next play, A Year in Ramallah, to be written in collaboration with Adah Kay for iceandfire's 2008 season.
