Shu-Hui Chen was born in Taiwan and studied piano performance in the college. She came to the United States in 1989 and since then got her Arranging degree from Berklee School of Music and a Doctorate of Musical Arts from Boston University. She was a member of Chinese Music Ensemble of Greater Boston Culture Center Association. She has arranged folk melodies for songs used in Carol Korty's play, Riding the Wind. Now she lives in South Shore, Massachusetts and enjoys teaching pianos, arranging music for students, and writing music for children stories.
