Roxanne Schroeder-Arce

Roxanne Schroeder-Arce is an artist, scholar and teacher. She is currently associate dean of fine arts education and associate professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Texas at Austin. Her plays are published by Dramatic Publishing. She has published articles in journals such as Youth Theatre Journal, International Journal for Education & the Arts and Theatre Topics, and chapters in books including Latinos and American Popular Culture. She taught high-school theatre in Texas for six years and served as artistic and education director of Teatro Humanidad in Austin for several years. Schroeder-Arce is on the board of directors of Teatro Vivo and the board of elders of the Indigenous Cultures Institute. She is a proud alumna of Emerson College, the University of Texas at Austin and the Keene State College Upward Bound Program. She grew up in Springfield, Vt.
