Ron Jones lives in San Francisco. He has written more than 20 books which have been honored as a Pulitzer Prize nominee and have won American Book of the Year and Christian Book of the Year awards. Three of his books, The Acorn People, B-Ball and The Wave, have been made into television and feature films that have garnered the producers Emmy, Peabody, Golden Globe and Sundance recognition. As a poet and performance artist, Jones has created six one-hour "storytelling videos" about working with the disabled and growing up in San Francisco. His solo performances onstage include Buddha Blues, Say Ray and When God Winked and Fellini Grinned. He considers The Third Wave Musical to be his most important work as both an educational and theatrical experience. Jones shares his home with wife, Deanna, daughter and grandchildren. His favorite activities include sea kayaking and coaching his grandchildren in girls' CYO basketball.
