Richard Marrett is in demand throughout New Zealand as a full-time musical director and is also an accomplished arranger, pianist and composer. Several of his orchestrations have been recorded with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Christchurch Symphony and Wellington Sinfonia, and he has a busy schedule working as producer and arranger on a number of recording projects. He has also created original music for a number of productions, the most notable being The Third Day and Once Were Warriors. Marrett's musical direction credits include Mame, The King and I, Sweet Charity, Joseph, Tell Me on a Sunday, WestEnd to Broadway I and II, Ovation!, Rush!, My Fair Lady, 42nd Street, Fiddler on the Roof, South Pacific, Annie, The Sound of Music, Once Were Warriors and seasons of Les Misrables in Dunedin, Wellington and Christchurch, New Zealand.
