Paul Nicholas Mason was born in London, England, and lived as a child in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and British Columbia before settling in southern Ontario, where he finished high school. Since graduating from Trent University with an honors degree in English Literature, he has published two plays (The Discipline Committee and Circles of Grace). A third, Sister Camille's Kaleidoscopic Cabaret, took first prize in an international competition sponsored by Christians in Theatre Arts and was subsequently produced in Chicago and Detroit. He is also the author of two novels, Battered Soles and The Red Dress. Mason currently lives in Peterborough, Ontario, where he teaches English and drama at Lakefield College School.
