Paul Elliott’s plays Exit Laughing; Making Sweet Tea and Other Secrets; Mind Games; The Door; and Ledge, Ledger and the Legend are produced all around the world. Ledge, Ledger and the Legend was voted one of the top 25 most-produced one-act plays in the last 25 years. Exit Laughing and Making Sweet Tea and Other Secrets were both AACT NewPlayFest winners. Finding the Burnett Heart, an award-winning comedy drama, completed its Hollywood premiere following a successful world premiere at the historic Detroit Repertory Theatre. Gentle Passage was the flagship production of the 2012 Hollywood Fringe Festival before winning Best Gay Play of 2014 at the Chicago Pride Film and Theatre Awards. His musical Dula, written with international recording star Jeanie Cunningham, received a staged reading at Northwestern University before moving to a full workshop production in Atlantic City and becoming a TNT Pops! Playwriting Competition winner, premiering at the OhLook Performing Arts Center in Texas. Two of Elliott’s plays, Legacy and Perspective, are published by Samuel French.
