Nick Martin is a composer and lyricist based in Dallas. He has been involved with the Dallas Children's Theater since he was 5 years old, when he was a gnome in Linda Daugherty's Cinderella, or Everbody Needs a Fairy Godmother. He was a student, then a teaching assistant and pianist at the Dallas Children's Theater through high school. While attending film school at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, Martin was an actor and producer for the university's Brand New Theatre Company. An accomplished pianist and arranger, he wrote and produced cabaret shows in Los Angeles while helping to create the movie trailers for Avatar, Secretariat and Paranormal Activity. Martin has written musicals about film schools, vegetarian zombies and science fairs. His musical, The Milford Project, won Best of the Hollywood Fringe at the 2011 Hollywood Fringe Festival.
