Malcolm McKee has played nearly 150 leading roles in theaters throughout the United Kingdom including Sir Benjamin Backbite in The School for Scandal, Mephistopheles in Doctor Faustus and Trinculo in The Tempest. Film work includes Kizsko... A Life for a Life with Olympia Dukakis. McKee is also a member of the cast of the The Archers (BBC), the world's longest-running radio serial. He has directed many revues—No‘l & Gertie, Tomfoolery, The Cocktail Hour, Theatrical Digs—and composed theater scores for A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Caucasian Chalk Circle, Far From the Madding Crowd and Torch Song Trilogy. For BBC radio his scores include "Tom and Viv," "The Country Wife," "The Good Companions," "Time and the Conways," "The Pickwick Papers," "Barnaby Rudge" and "The Old Curiosity Shop." As a writer, his adaptations for the BBC include The Comedy of Errors, Tonight at 8:30, Grand Hotel, The Wild Party, Oh, What a Lovely War!, Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator, Five Children and It and The Story of the Amulet.
