Leslie Caulfield has been the director of theater studies at Oak Ridge High School in Orlando, Florida, for the past 15 years where his students have distinguished themselves in theater and film. He has also worked with most of the Orlando-area theaters in many professional and amateur productions, either as actor, director, writer or designer. Caulfield received his master's degree from New York University, where he studied medieval and Elizabethan theater in England. He serves on the board of directors for the Florida Association of Theatre Educators and is a strong advocate of creative dramatics and a "process" approach to using drama in the classroom. Caulfield is proud to have helped found the Florida Peace Camp, where kids of all backgrounds and cultures spend a week in the summer exploring important issues in an atmosphere of nonviolence and cooperation. His "political theater" workshops have been experienced by many students and adults statewide.
