Larry Glaister

Larry Glaister was born in Lansing, Mich. He holds a bachelor's in theatre and mathematics from Howard University in Washington, D.C. He holds a master's degree in theatre from Hunter College in New York City. He does not hold a Ph.D. in Theatre from NYU but came close. He is also a graduate of the two-year acting program at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, and he is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America. Glaister was a working actor for several years in the 1970s and played at some major regional theatres across the country, including Arena Stage (Washington, D.C.), Wedgewood Theatre (Williamsburg, Va.), Cherry County Playhouse (Traverse City, Mich.) and the Promenade Theatre (New York City). He subsequently taught theatre and communication courses at a number of universities and colleges including Pace University, Brooklyn College, Mercyhurst University and Columbia-Greene Community College. He currently lives in Santa Fe, N.M., and is active in theatre, film and TV production in Sana Fe and Albuquerque, N.M.
