James Pinkowski

James Pinkowski is a writer-director currently living in New York City. His most recent play, Hollis McCoy and the Elves, which he developed during a residency for directing at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center, took part in the Boomerang Theater Ensemble's First Flight Series and will receive workshop a production in late 2004. He recently wrote and developed sketches of BLIM, the Lucky Dog Man for SO! Animation Studios. His play, Mint Juleps, is published in an anthology entitled Best Student One Acts: Volume 5 (Dramatic Publishing) and has received several productions both in New York City (XYZ Theater Company, Present Company, Theater Studio) and regionally (Audacity Productions). Other productions of his plays include Chops & Gums, (NYC Fringe 2000, PS NBC @ HERE) Lunch (XYZ Theater Company, Theater Studio) and Appomattox, (Theater Studio). He has directed for the Atlantic Theater Company's 453 Series and the Upright Citizen's Brigade and has had staged readings at the Cherry Lane Alternative and the Tribeca Performing Arts Center. Pinkowsky is a graduate of James Madison University.
