Hindi Brooks writes for the stage, the page and television, teaches playwriting at UCLA and frequently lectures on writing. She has written numerous full-length and short plays, many of which have won awards. They have been translated into several different languages, produced internationally and published. Her one-woman show Lily, which deals with the Gulf War, tours internationally. She is a member of The Dramatists Guild, the Writers Guild, PEN, the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights, Theatre 40, West Coast Jewish Theatre and The Playwrights Group. She is listed in Who's Who of American Film and Who's Who of American Women. Brooks is married to actor Manny Kleinmuntz and is mother to actor Josh Kleinmuntz and writer-editor-photographer Nomi Isak.
