Eric Lane's award-winning plays have been performed in the U.S., Canada, Europe and China. Plays include Times of War, Ride, Filming O'Keeffe, Floating, Heart of the City and Dancing on Checkers' Grave. His works are published by Dramatic Publishing, Dramatists Play Service, Playscripts and Applause Books' Best American Short Plays. With Nina Shengold, he has edited 12 contemporary play anthologies for Viking Penguin and Vintage Books, earning them a Lambda Literary Award nomination. Lane wrote and produced the short films First Breath and Cater-Waiter, which he also directed. Both films screened in more than 40 cities worldwide. For TV's "Ryan's Hope," he received a Writer's Guild Award. Honors include the La MaMa Playwright Award, the Berrilla Kerr Award and the Adirondack Theatre Festival New Play Commission, plus fellowships at Yaddo, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and St. James Cavalier in Malta. Lane is an honors graduate of Brown University.
