Deborah Pappenheimer is the daughter of Beatrice Karp. She received her bachelor’s degree in painting from the Kansas City Art Institute and her MFA from Boston University. She resides in West Des Moines, Iowa, and has taught drawing and painting at Iowa State University for 26 years. She continues to teach and create art.
