Colleen Neuman's first play was a radio drama written for Wisconsin Public Radio. She began writing short plays for children, including her own, to perform which eventually led to writing full-length plays for children's theatre. As a high school drama coach she wrote Riverview, Tape 23, published by Dramatic Publishing, and other one-acts for competitions. She has received many playwriting awards, most notably being selected for the Bonderman Youth Theatre Playwriting Symposium. She has worked for the Nickelodeon Television Network developing a children's theatre program. In addition to Dramatic Publishing, her work is published by Baker's Plays, Pioneer Drama Service, Dramatics Magazine and Houghton Mifflin.
