Christopher La Puma received his bachelor of arts degree with honors in drama from Stanford University before being practical and becoming an attorney. After writing and premiering One Bad Apple with composer Debbie Wicks at Stanford University, Chris asked her to marry him. Debbie said yes, knowing that if they could write a musical together and still stay friends, then their marriage had a good chance.
