Cass Brayton spent several years performing in all kinds of offbeat venues, and is an original member of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, San FranciscoÕs radical drag street theater/political/spiritual/charitable troupe. He was known as Sister Mary Media and frequently performed on stage with his back-up singers, the Cass-ettes. In 2003, PlayGround produced his play, IÕd Like to Buy a Vowel, as part of the Best of PlayGround Emerging Playwrights Festival. He is presently a member of Rumpus, a group of Bay Area playwrights.
