Colby Sachs has
been a professional music director/arranger for 50 years and worked in
off-Broadway, regional, community, college and high school theatres. Music direction
credits include Sweeney Todd, The Robber Bridegroom, Evita
and Peter and the Starcatcher all at Bristol Valley Theater in New York.
Regional credits include Beauty and the Beast, All Shook Up, Footloose,
The Wiz, Merrily We Roll Along and Urinetown. As a
composer, he’s written the scores to more than 30 produced musicals including
the notorious Amy Fisher: The Musical. He has collaborated with Michael
McKenzie Wills on a series of family musicals based on the award-winning
children’s books of Amber Spradlin. All eight shows have been produced by Rabbit
Hole Theatricks/G&W, LLC, and are licensed by Heuer Publishing. Sachs is a
proud member of the Dramatists Guild and an alumnus of the BMI Lehman Engel
Musical Theatre Workshop.
