Barbara Lindsay's first full-length play, Free, won the 1989 New York Drama League Playwrighting Competition and was given its premier production in London in 1991. Since then, there have been more than 180 national and international productions of her plays and monologues. Her full-length play I-2195 won the Women in the Arts Award from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and was produced there in November 2005. Her short play ,Here to Serve You, was the 2008 Peace Play Contest winner awarded by Goshen College, Goshen, Ind. Lindsay is a fifth-generation Californian living in Seattle with her husband.
