Synopsis
This highly sought-after one act features an elderly couple who have lived a long and happy life together. Now, however, the woman is slowly slipping away as dementia runs its course. In an attempt to reawaken the bond they have held for so many years, the man tells her of the moment they fell in love. It is a story so vivid that she can see it play out before her eyes: a younger version of the man and woman meeting, falling in love and sharing a first kiss. One final, happy memory for her to take with her on her last long trip. Told with both laughter and tears, A Long Trip is a journey of lasting love and interdependence. Audiences everywhere have taken A Long Trip to heart for its mixture of joy, sadness and the wonder of life itself.

Customer Reviews
- "Such a powerful show. Due to the type of venue we used (an event room) as part of a dinner theatre showcase with other one acts, we didn't have the ability to use much in the way set but this worked well for this show. For this show less is more. With only the use of a loveseat and two chairs the audience was able to focus solely on the story being told and the actors could focus on the telling of that story. The lack of set allows for this show to be timeless as it is a story that affects so many over all periods of time. "

Hints, Tips, and Tricks
- "Really concentrate on the emotional content, not only what is being spoken but what is being said without speaking but rather through a look or movement. This can tell volumes and only works to enhance an already powerful story."
