Synopsis
Here is the essence of the Bard's classic in a half-hour play: When Hermia decides to elope with Lysander rather than to please her father by marrying Demetrius, she confides to Helena the secret time and place. Helena, madly in love with Demetrius, tells him the plan which collides with that of the king and queen of fairies, Titania and Oberon, who are sorry for the unhappy lovers and send Puck with a magic juice to pour on the eyes of "the youth sleeping in the woods."

- "Luella McMahon's take on William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream is a delightful version that high school -- even junior high students can not only follow but perform splendidly!"
- Review by Kim Patty, Red Oak Junior High School, Red Oak, TX
- "An enchanting evening. The students totally got into it. They captured not only the general spirit of Shakespeare's play, but also the charming poetry of this skillfully rendered adaptation. If you fear Shakespeare, be ready for a pleasant surprise when kids get a hold of this!"
