Synopsis
For each of the teenaged main characters in this trilogy of short plays, life is an intricate and often confusing dance: partners join in and depart for reasons that are not always clear, altering the rhythm and mood for better or worse. In the quietly moving Blind Date: Dawn Covington faces her dependency on her mother and feelings of betrayal after her parents' divorce. Perfect: finds Tara Owens with a secret she thinks will heal her lifelong loneliness: she's pregnant by a classmate she hardly even knows. And in the hilarious high-impact Workout: boy meets girl, boy loses girl, and boy gets girl, all in the course of one aerobic class.
