Synopsis

The ship of the dreaded French pirate Orange Marmalade is anchored just outside New Orleans. The fearful townspeople stay behind locked doors, and business is slow at the Sugar Cane Saloon. Soon, however, that dastardly villain Devil-Dog-Do-Wrong and his female companions Cherries Jubilee and the Pitt sisters arrive, hoping to join forces with Marmalade. What follows is a series of chases, songs, disguises and merriment.

"A musical melodrama with a twistÑor ten. Showdown at the Sugar Cane Saloon demonstrates that children's theater can be lots of fun for adults and teenagers, too. With audience participation, high energy and a unified cast, this production can attain great success."
