Adapted by David Cooperman from the story by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. Cast: 5m., 3w. Miss Temptation's real name is Suzanne, and she lives in a small room above a country store in a little town with a theatre—in which she hopes to make her acting debut. Miss Temptation is beautiful, exciting, and every man's dream. To those who gather in the country store to see her make her daily "entrance," she brings a rainbow to a dreary world. However, to a shy and lonely young man, her beauty is too much to bear. In an angry outburst at her, he takes out his frustration against all pretty young women—not realizing how fragile and vulnerable she really is—not realizing that she's shattered. Then with brilliant Vonnegut insight, the two young people work it out in a moment of theatrical enchantment. One int. set.
