Tomato on Tuesday (manuscript)
Tomato on Tuesday (manuscript)
This sensitive little play is made to order for contest work.
Drama. By Larry Randolph.

Cast: 2m., 1w. Young Bennie Jean is a prisoner of circumstance, stuck as a waitress—and she doesn't even know it. Her parents need her to help run a small truck stop café. To 19-year-old Bennie Jean, this is how her life has always been and working in the café is all the future holds for her. Her only exit is into the vicarious world of movie magazines. Then suddenly times change. A stranger stops in one night, becomes intrigued with the girl, and then artfully leads her into taking a first step toward expanding her world, toward becoming a whole person.

This sensitive little play is made to order for contest work.

The set is minimal, the sympathetic charcters are well developed, and the problem is universal.

Notes
