The ghost explains to the astonished guest that he has forgotten the way he is supposed to move his hands in order to dematerialize. Finally, the ghost is able to make the right movements and he disappears. When the other members of the dinner party arrive, the guest explains what has taken place—right up to the climax when he shows them how the ghost dematerialized. A macabre and exciting story.
