The work of Many Young Playwrights. Adapted by Tom Erhard.
Cast: 2m., 4w. (may be expanded to as many as 20 of either sex.) This highly theatrical 45-minute script shows the devastating effect of the lack of popularity, the agonies caused by prejudice, the pangs of first love, the sudden awareness of growing old and of death, the complexity of family relationships and the terrors that often accompany leaving high school. Some of these dramatized moments are whimsical, even farcical; others are warmly touching; many are extremely powerful. All come from the Southwest High School Creative Writing Awards. Contribute to the opportunity for new playwrights to be heard by producing this work. Bare stage w/props. Approximate Running Time: 45 minutes.
