Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz (manuscript)
Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz (manuscript)
Book by Kathy Hotchner. Lyrics by Bill Roser, Steve and Kathy Hotchner. Music by Bill Roser.

Cast: 4m., 3w. (1 dog.) Will Dorothy and Toto ever find their way back to Kansas? Will her friends, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion ever find a brain, a heart, and the nerve? The answer is definately yes, when your audience helps the plot along in this participation play. As the Munchkins in the land of Oz, as large hiding trees which protect Dorothy and her friends from danger, and as a sudden rainstorm which reduces the Wicked Witch of the West to a puddle, your audience will be simultaneously engaged in two very entertaining activities—experiencing the theatre by actually being involved in the action, and most importantly, rescuing Dorothy and her friends from the Wicked Witch of the West. Bare stage with props. Approximate running time: 35 minutes

Short Play

Notes
Music is included with the manuscript, and it is also included in back of the original playbooks.

The manuscript can be photocopied for production. Just let us know how many copies you will be making, and we will issue a letter of permission.
