As one of the best-loved children's stories among peoples of Russia, this funny, romantic adventure has echoes of both Snow White and Cinderella. Anna is to marry Tevdore, a solid farm boy next door. Into their engagement party comes a storyteller, offering glimpses of a different, enchanting world. He speaks of another Anna who possesses a magic falcon feather that turns into Fenist, a prince. When Fenist is driven off by Anna's jealous sisters and captured by a powerful Tsarevna, Anna sets off to rescue him, aided by a magic ball and three mysterious sisters.
