Dark Comedy. By Laura Schellhardt. Cast: 1m., 2w. In this allegory that straddles graveyard and courtroom, Nina Archer, a headstrong and passionate young dancer, contracts a fatal blood disease. Actually, the disease is given to her, by a man who frequents the twilight, who smells like the earth, and who calls to her periodically in her dreams. Her only sister, Rill, vows revenge on the man responsible for her sister's untimely demise, only to discover that the closer she gets to him, the less human he seems. Eventually Rill puts herself and this possible vampire on trial. It is a trial of her own devising and it takes place in her own mind. She requests the audience perform the role of her jury. Flexible staging. Approximate running time: 1 hour, 30 minutes.
