Two Marys, Five Jacks and One Very Big Shoe
"The performance was a good fit for our objective to provide programming to promote a lifelong love of reading for children. It also helps promote the library as a meeting space and draws young people to the library. The children knew the content and played along; the parents smiled and laughed and thought their kids enjoyed the performance. Acting and costumes were very well done; performance was interactive." —Librarian, Mount Laurel Library
A participation play of tales from Mother Goose for very young audiences. Adapted by Joey Madia.

Cast: 1m., 1w. The children of the Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe (your audience!) want to stay up past bedtime. They are entertained by their brother and sister, Wee Willie Winkie and Mary Quite Contrary, as they act out the rhymes of Mother Goose using finger play, pantomime, sound effects, dance and dialogue. But, of course, they need the help of the children in the audience. Production notes include guidelines for making a success of participation theater with the very young. Area staging. Approximate running time: 40 minutes.
