Drama. Adapted by Reginald Lawrence from Llloyd C. Douglas' international best-seller. Cast: 12m., 11w., extras (less with doubling). Fara, an Arabian princess, disguises hereslf as a boy, and sets off for Jerusalem to avenge her mother. Fara is robbed, but is rescued by John (later the Aposle), who brings her to the humble home of the Big Fisherman. There Fara hears angry talk of Jesus. Simon is disgusted with the "sensation seekers" who constantly pour past his home to listen to Jesus' teachings. He is skeptical of the so-called miracles. Aren't they really faked? Simon both scorns and pities the ill and the maimed who are seeking this "faith healer." The play centers about these two: the girl, who learns forgiveness of enemies, and the fisherman who through a series of crisies becomes Jesus' great Apostle, the fisher for men.
