Comedy. By Anne Coulter Martens. Cast: 4m., 7w. Wildcat Willie has reluctantly promised to play Santa to some poor children. But his heart is not in it. He is worried about his own gift … a fine tool chest. Apparently it hasn't been bought, and after all his HINTS! He paws through all the usual hiding places. No chest! He even gets himself stuck, trying to investigate a package hidden under the couch! His pals, Joe and Vernon, have to drag him out! No TOOL CHEST! Wildcat puts on a drive to raise the funds to buy positively the last tool chest in town. While his pals are getting it, Gladys and her girl friends rig out the protesting Willie as old Santa himself. The poor children arrive for their gifts, and it develops that little Pete wants just one thing … a tool chest! From Gladys' remarks, Willie has discovered that his dad is bringing him a tool chest and he generously decides to give Pete the one he is buying. And then it turns out the Joe and Vernon have snapped up the very tool chest his dad had expected to buy. With Pete eagerly waiting for the longed-for gift, just what will Willie do? A humorous Christmas success starring the all-American favorite, Wildcat Willie! Approximate running time: 25 minutes.
